The first edition of a new metal festival in Tolmin is behind us and it was nothing less than amazing. The long-lasting tradition of MetalDays in a beautiful location of Tolmin and Soča Valley continued with another, smaller but dynamic festival Tolminator. The organization was great, everything was on time, the line-up was diverse and the weather overall good having in mind that on Monday a storm came and made a little bit of a fuss, especially for the campers.
Every night there was a big crowd in front of the stage and the atmosphere was more than great. The Festival was not sold out but for a first edition, it was quite full. Rivers Soča and Tolminka never disappoint as the location remains one of the most beautiful sceneries for a Festival to take place.
During the day it was warm, sometimes even hot, but the concerts on the 2nd stage always had an audience. As for the big stage, the audience was full for the whole night, every night. The biggest interest was for the headliners but the energy and support were present for every band who stood on that stage. There were many highlights of the Festival, mostly during concerts and on the river with floatie rampages. Also, a Festival's mascot jumped around and had fun with the public during the whole week so that was a proper highlight too.
The environment was very child-friendly and the Festival stuff made sure that every child has an adequate noise-canceling headphones.
Tolminator made sure that everyone had a great time and people are already counting down the days until the next edition. So, that definitely means something, right?

It is not hard to imagine that the next edition of Tolminator will be even more full. The feedback so far is great and people were more than satisfied during the Festival. The tickets for next year are already on sale and the Festival posted some of the names for 2024. More bands will be announced soon.
