Black Lung

Instrumental rock and stoner doom music filled the Monte Paradiso club in Pula on Wednesday night.
Pomelo Chess Society is a band from Rijeka. A very energetic band with amazing instrumental notes and great communication with the audience. There are three of them but most of the time you feel like you're watching a much bigger band. The band properly warmed up the public for the American stoner doomers Black Lung.
Black Lung is a band with very intriguing vocals, diverse melodies, strong, heavy riffs, and very atmospheric transitions. Stoner doom is a very specific music people don't have a chance to listen to very often, at least not in Pula. The band recently released their 4th studio album, Dark Waves so the public had a chance to listen to their newest material. You could feel how every song has its own story.
It was great to watch both of the bands playing their music in front of the local public on a simple Wednesday night, when usually, in Pula, you don't have any content at all.
Black Lung continued to Zagreb the next day and played @ Vintage Industrial Bar along with My Pitbull Lucifer.
Overall, a mesmerizing Wednesday evening, thanks to No Profit Recordings. Hopefully, there will be more Wednesdays like this.
