Bryan Adams held a concert in Arena Zagreb on the 9th of November 2017 as a part of his Get Up tour. His last concert in Croatia was 11 years ago so this was a true comeback. The concert lasted for about two hours and Bryan was very communicative and enthusiastic until the end of the evening. He sang all the biggest hits so the audience was more than pleased. There were 10 000 fans in front of him.
The stage was very close to the audience so people had a feeling of nearness and that's not always the case. There were many moments where the audience was singing alone for quite a time and that is definitely something worth hearing. We can only guess how Bryan and his band felt. The biggest reaction was on Heaven, Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?, Please Forgive Me, Summer of ’69 & (Everything I Do) I Do It for You and few more and that's not surprising at all. It was something special hearing those hits live, truly. You could feel the nostalgia flying all over the Arena... but it was definitely not a negative one.
The sound and the light were great and there was a video wall behind the stage during the concert, where a lot of images, videos and affects were showed. It is interesting how everything was so simple and nice but still so big and powerful at the same time. You could feel how close the band is and in that way you can truly concentrate on the most important thing.. his music. And that's what he represent, a musician who can truly share the emotion with the public as the most important thing. And not just 'can' but 'want'.
After the applause there were six more songs. The concert could easily be great even without those half an hour but he just wanted to share everything.. and more. There were also two covers, C’mon Everybody by Eddie Cochran and All Shook Up by Elvis Presley.
At the end of the concert Bryan and the whole band were very thankful and positively surprised by the feedback they received and that made the whole experience even better.
Overall, the evening was very emotional and surprising, speaking in terms of the list of the songs, his communication with the audience and the duration of the concert.
We made a short video of five minutes with different songs from the concert, mostly hits. You can really feel the atmosphere. Check it out! :)
